With Democracy in mind
Remember the children
In the present political environment it is not easy to avoid the debate, with regards to choice and end of life. While, ironically, little is heard of choice and consent at the start of life. Children, exploitation, adultification and criminalisation are rarely in the news.
SPACE being one of the only consistent voices in this area, as far as I know.
In the context of end of life, creating endukayted challenged me to understand how little we can know about key parts of life. Limitations on capability and capacity can increase the need for advocacy. Sadly it is not often available despite it being standard practice. Dependency on institutional and structural culture can mean that the quality of care received is not as one would expect. “That is how it is” is often the reactive reply when standards are challenged. The high tide of human rights as a frame, is a shadow of initial expectations. Individuals forced to safeguard themselves and seek resonant support networks through their own resources.
Hence the creation of each of my blogs.
Daily maintained where possible to provide a life line or two. An attempt to establish a rhythm(link to rhythm) of resonant engagement towards improving the community culture.

Jon Alexander , the challenge is to hear unique individual stories within the whole community story. Curation that dilutes can devalue, however treasuring essence can improve the quality of engagement. Absence from the table should be acknowledged as part of the glocal glassfulness.

Lie 1: We can have solidarity without proximity.
Lie 2: We can have civic renewal without economic renewal.
Lie 3: We can have democracy without participation.
” I fear that the professionalization of a democracy “space” — with its “democracy practitioners” and “invite-only convenings” — will unintentionally make democracy an activity that’s only for some people and not for everyone else.”
